So . . Looking on the bright side:

1. The house is OK (apart from losing some galvanised coping).

2. The ground floor of the garage/workshop is OK - so the bikes, Landcruiser & tractor are OK at the moment.

3. Hopefully I'll be able to get the vehicles out without the whole lot landing on my head.

4. The other two trees that came down landed inside my property so I don't have angry neighbours.

5. We used the farm's teleloader to clear the road this morning so access is restored.

Now to contact ther Insurers with an 'early advice of a claim' (How I hate that bit :blast).

Ho Hum.

Bob.

Ouch Good Job for the Bikes etc

I think I'd be getting a tree surgeon in to crop the tops off the others ASAP

In days gone by when I did a lot of sailing I remember coming across the bay of Biscay ( a few days after a hurricane in the Caribbean) and it was blowing about force 8 ~ 9
We were on a 75 foot ketch on near enough bare sticks making nearly 7 knots on reach heading back to Ireland!!!!!!

Good Luck

On the bright side:D

Nobody was hurt and nothing possession wise was damaged and you'll get a new house built to your spec

Silver lining:thumb

Look on the bright side Bob those fascias were a bloody disgrace.
Be careful going in there.

Ouch :(

Not what you want to see really is it.

Good luck with the insurance.:thumb2

Ouch...!

Left my place yesterday before it all kicked off, No reports from neighbours or Network Rail so I'm guessing none of mine keeled over near Perth....

Glad you're OK Bob...:thumb2

Look on the bright side Bob those fascias were a bloody disgrace.

I know, they were supposed to have been painted last Summer, but it rained constantly so the job didn't get done.

Three rooms renovated in the house instead :thumb.

'Brassmonkey' is supposed to be sending me a gearbox for renovation . . I've had to put him off until I know what's happening :blast.

Very rough here........!

Lots a slates, pantiles and ridgeing off and some of the big six roof sheeting is off the farm sheds aswell as lots of 'shrapnel' flying around.

Too dangerous to go out clearing up the debris at the moment and there could be more to come.

Insurance for us aswell i'm afraid.......!

hey Bob, glad no-one was hurt.

And here was me moaning about loosing a couple of ridge tiles and a red box (cardboard recycling).

You be craeful when you try to move your fleet from out of the garage.

K.

Sorry to see these kind of things when there is nothing you have done to make it happen. Glad that no one is hurt through it all. I think, instead of a house, there might be the opportunity to have a really, really nice garage. Health to enjoy it Bob!

Ouch, At least no injuries to the occupants :)

In case anyone thinks that I live in there . . . The brick-built pile is just my shed :thumb

It has an open fire upstairs, a pot-bellied stove downstairs, drinking water on tap and a toilet . .

Damn, I was so happy out there :D :D
