Windows7 question

I have just upgraded to a new Dell laptop running windows 7, now when I open new posts, search or get latest posts, for example, all I get is a greyed out box.
My old laptop running XP works OK
Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

What about other sites, sounds strange to me, windows 7 worked out of the box for me

Download google chrome and try it there.

Keith.....run Windows update and it may well find a good number of things that need tweaking......let it do it all itself and it may well sort it out for you

PS you'll have to so that using IE rather than Firefox or another browser, but it's worth it

Well a windows update did not help, I have yet to try firefox or chrome so far I have only tried IE. interestingly if I right click while the cursor is over the greyed out area the correct text shows up.

I have tried ADVrider and that forum seems ok, If I get no joy I will dreag the old lap top out just for UKgser use.

Well, I have finally been at home long enough to think about sorting this out, the combination of ie8 and windows 7 is pants, I am now using google chrome as my browser and everything is working fine.
