any help please

thanks / Steve / tefflon

a quick question does the Midland have the same style of connections ? often caleed standard Motorola connectors 1x3.5mm 1x2.5mm.

are you using it through a intercomm ?

Do you have the Vox switched on, it should be switched off if using PTT

where did you get the throat mike kit from ? they maybe able to help

?

A80 wintec

Hi Robby
1 they are my mates throat mics and yes 1 is a 3.5 & 2.5 same conections as the wintec

2 no not through an intercom just the wintec & the throat gismo

3 think the vox is turned off but will check to morow as he has them at the min

4 not sure where he got them from think off the inter net ?

Sounds like a wiring incompatibility.

I've got exactly the set up you mention but it was custom made for the A80. It works with Vox or PTT. We sell them with a custom earplug (or a pair of custom earplugs) but my demo sets just use a generic earpiece.

sounds like schiannini is the person to answer this one :)

Though I must admit I thought the A80 had standard connections so if it works for one manufacturer it should work on anothers model

I would be interested myself to know what the difference's are ?

A80

hi again

I have been talking to Dave at intaride today he was not aweare of any set of ear plugs that would work with the wintec radios so any help please

ta /steve

Green Leopard make them (I'm an agent) and they retail at around £80 plus the cost of custom plugs or they can usually be adapted to fit existing plugs. This includes the throat mic (and I think the PTT button, but I'd best check that...)

I've not actually ever sold any of these and as I mentioned before I only have a pre-production demo set but I know that our lab makes them for various radio types. The best thing to do is call head office in Kettering and they will know the full ins and outs of them and will be able to put you in touch with your local GL agent.

Hope that helps
