I am looking to do some preventative maintenance jobs over the winter and would aprechiate some advise
my 02 adventure has approx 25 k miles and overmaintained, i was thinking that maybe i should replace the timing chains and tensioners over the winter.
They are not particualy noisey but from reading posts here maybe worth doing.
If so, chains and auto tensioners ? just chains ? genuine or pattern ? where from.
Could Steptoe advise ?

thanks

Just get out and ride it my 2002's got 50,000 nothing needs done:thumb

If your...

worried about 25K miles...you would be a nervous wreck with my 04 GS which has just reached 64K and is going great maybe I should stop riding it.......:D

You'd be wasting your time and money doing those jobs.

May possibly be worth doing if you had over 150K miles, even then you might still be wasting your time

Winter Jobs................

...........Check tyres, check oil level, put petrol in, ride bike :thumb

ACF50:thumb

Just put it on the seams of the coil packs. (1150 twinspark & 1200 relevant only, well to my limited knowledge?)
