Decided today to take my bike - 95 1100gs off the road for a week or 2 so i can do a few wee things to it.
Im just wondering if its worth my while trying to fix them or just forget about them.

1st thing is the throttle heated grip aint working. Will this probably just be a broken wire? How easy will it be to fix this?
2ndly the wee hole in the petrol filler lid is blocked so everytime its wet it fills with water. Ive tried a few times to clear the blockage but its still fecking blocked. What has everyone else used to clear it??

And while its off the road is there anything else i should do or just keep er lit??
Thanks
Jussy

2nd thing : I used a piece of thin wire. There was a small wad of shite sitting in the top of the hole so well disguised it took a while to actually find where the hole supposed to be. Then just blew through one of the pipes (after cleaning it ;)) that dangle down behind brake pedal and you can hear/ feel air coming out the hole. Other pipe is tank breather.

2nd thing.... Use some brake cable or similar so you can judge where the blockage is then squirt some wd40 in there and put cable back in and twiddle the cable. Takes a few goes but worked for me. All i do now is give it some wd40 every month or so.

1st thing. Could be various things. I've had a wire come unsoldered from the switch and wire(s) break at the twistgrip. The latter is hard to repair; at least I couldn't make a lasting resoldered joint because there wasn't enough wire left to solder to. Worked for a while though.
2nd thing. Put on a mack, safety goggles and hard hat, connect a bicycle or airbed pump to the correct hose down by the footrest. Pump and take cover. Marvel at the cr*p that comes out. Clean windows before SWMBO notices.

Job done.

2nd thing

Syringe, bit of wd40, suck all the shit out.. works a treat
