Winter...

Think you'd be warming sitting in the house than sitting hoping for a hound to speak!

The winter is feckin dragging on though.

Picked up me bike from John Clark 'deen in the pishin rain, great start to the season!

Us weaker English are also looking forward to winter's end

Just seems to have gone on for so long - drove last night and couldn't see more than 30yds for driving snow

We didnt think it has been that bad/long a winter (OK we are in the saaarf)
I reckon the fact last years weather was sh1te it seems like winter has gone on forever :nenau

Yup just back in for a warm up if it was just 5 degrees warmer the tools would just be so much easier to work with

I'm thinking toolbox heater may be required :aidan

I've just come back from the canaries 75 degrees everyday to this shit!

Lambing and calving at the moment and still have 35 acres to plough before the spring sowing and this is in the driest sunniest part of Scotland

Luckily the 350 cattle are bed and breakfast and the sheep aren't mine but i've a lot of work to do around them.......At least we have plenty of straw and silage to see us through!

It's quadbike rather than GS at the moment and seems to have been like that since last may...........!

FP.

Hope it gets better by the end of the week as I've two journeys to do on the bikes down to the Dundee area.

The forecast isn't on your side......

Last year..2012...we had 41/2 months WITHOUT snow... This winter we had snow cover for the first 2 weeks of Dec, then on and off snow since...at worst 24 inches of snow at the back door. Got to Balmoral, eventually, only because we could contact a mate with a key, let us ( all L/Rovers ) through. Gates open @ 3pm, but will be shut soon due to drifting. Not a sniff of a plough or grotter. Now got a key to snowgates!!! Actually wasn't too bad this morning...I reckon I would have got my car through, but I think they keep it shut to keep the muppets at bay!
Roll on the balmy summer days...rocking about in a tee shirt on the quad with the breeze ruffling my hair and cooling the sweat from my brow!!

Not a murmur from a hound or sniff of a fox either...too many cross-hairs on Deeside!!
