Winter...

Just heard on the radio (BBC Newcastle) that is has snowed every month for 6 months now.

:tears

As long as it's above minus 5 by the end of the month - doing Galloway forest over Easter again and camping locally. Frost on inside as well as outside of the tent last year . . . but no snow. And all the trails were dry - don't think we'll have that luxury this year.
Now, where did I hide those M&S tyres for the 800?

....is it ever going to go away....bastard snow gates shut yet again....when I need to be at Balmoral first thing..lambing in 2 weeks as well...shit!

Those gates should be cut down. Nanny state.

I am watching all the cams and welcome any reports not leaving till Sunday so can leave final decision till Sat, fingers crossed:Motomartin now where's me trunks?

Met Office forecast for here-Blairgowrie- speaking of possible blizzards Friday and Saturday......

Snowing now, 2/3 inches, but blowing hard.......it's the wind that does the damage, blowing shite onto the road.

I picked a great week to be off to do some work about the garden / house and get the bikes out  Supposed to be heading to the west cost tomorrow to meet a few mates....we binned the idea :(

Hmm, promised blizzards have migrated south, however what is already here will blow about. I think the snow is fairly confined to the east, west would be better.

Fine day on the West today. Woke to the sun streaming through my window  MOT due soon so took my front wheel to local tyre fitter and now have a new Tourance with loads of tread :thumb While the wheel was off I took the opportunity to clean the Callipers and Check the brake pads. Wee clean and a dab of Copper Grease should keep them ticking over for another year. Did the back brake as well. Managed to give the bike a wipe down with a WD40 soaked rag before darkness fell. Checked lights, horn, indicator etc and all seems well. Just to book in for MOT now.

We seem to have escaped the Winter down in the Glasgow area as we have hardly had any snow all winter. It lay for one night a week ago and that has been it. Have had far more sunny days and been out on the bike quite a few times already this year. Hope I have not spoken too soon :hide
