I want to wire a 350 lm to my Gs1150 and I am sure I have read on this forum (but I can't find it now I need it:blast) that I could wire it to the accessory socket instead of the battery?

Now electrics are not my thing so please bear with me, if so can I just pull the connector of the back of the socket and wire the sat nav straight into the connector with a couple of spade terminals? I never use the socket anyway so it doesn't matter to me if theres no power going to it. Also is the brown wire the earth and the red/white the positive wire?

Can I also add that I ordered a Migsel clock mount and to say the service and the quality of product is excellent :beerjug:

Thanks for your help

So... if electrics are not your thing.. I suggest you have a look at these photos before proceeding... :D

Dunno why these don't display...: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/iv33pwd5v2fr4i5/EnwFq9Bfb1

The rest of them here:

Now.. I don't believe that the fire was caused by my wiring.. but I'd just like to point out what the extreme end of possible is if you don't know what you are doing... :beerjug:

Al...

Omg! I think I would have needed talking down from a high building if that had happened to me

I should make it clear that although electrics aren't really my thing I am good at following instructions so am very confident of doing the job if someone can just advise me of what wire is what! Lol
