Hi guys n girls

im after a wiring diagram for wiring a set of fogs so they turn off when i
switch my main beam on i seam to remember you need a 5 pin relay
but carnt bemember the rest

Why do you want your lights to go off when main beam comes on? I'd have thought the addition light would be a benefit?

If you want a hand I don't mind helping out, I'm only in Nantwich.

This is similar to what I'm hoping to arrange at the weekend - a set of driving lights for use on the backroads, and a set of spots to supplement the full beam.

You're right, you need a 5 pin relay. There will be 2 pins that activate the relay and the other 3 pins are wired as a changeover switch. What you want to do is wire your fogs to the pins that are connected together when the relay is OFF and to connect the coil of the relay from the full beam wiring to ground. When you go to full beam, the relay turns 'on' and swaps position, turning off the fogs.

I have ...

... a very good PDF showing exactly what you need to do, ping me an email address and I'll forward it on :thumb

I can't load it direct because it's too big, hence the email kerfuffle :blast

It is for a conventionally wired bike not canbus; if you have the latter then look up Wappings fine post on 'switched power the easy way' and then add that to mine :augie

depending on file size you can upload it to tinypic and host it there or rapidshare
