wiring diagrams help

hi guys

does anybody no a site where i can get my hands on wiring diagrams for bmw

Mate fitted a new fuel pump to his 93 k1100lt now cant get power to the new pump:nenau i told him to get a GS:augie but hey there we go i'm sure some one like Mr Steptoe could give me some advice, have replaced the fuel pump elec conecter as thats was corrodid, and fuses checked still at a loss,
so i,m open to any surgestions that might help him

The fuel pump should energize briefly when the ignition switch is turned on as the Motronic unit under the seat earths the fuel pump relay for a couple of seconds to prime the system.
If it doesn't check the following
1 - Motronic unit under the seat is securely bolted down so that it is well earthed. If its a 93 spec bike it will have the large finned version and will mount across the top of the battery. If its the later smooth exterior type make sure that the earth wire is attached to it via the spade terminal on the end & the other end of the wire goes to the battery negative terminal.
2 - check the fuse is ok
3 - Side stand switch can cause issues. Take off right hand side panel and loof for a largeish black connector usually up near the top frame rail near the corner of the fuel tank (Wire colours green/yellow & green/red switch side). Disconnect the plug & bridge the wiring harness connector with a split pin & test
4 Fuel pump relay faulty - go into relay box under fuel tank. group of black mini relays. Unscrew retaining bolts & lift out relays. It will have benzin pump on a white tag on the wiring. Try swapping it with the horn relay.
5 If all these fail and you know you have power to the pump during switch on & whilst turning engine over on the green/white wire then its usually the pump.
If no power then its the motronic unit.
