Wiring in the front power socket.

I think what I did is okay, but I also thought that getting married would be okay too.

So, when I wired in my front power socket, I just ran the wire on the out-side of the gas tank, under the side cover. I did not want to take the gas tank off and I could not feed it under the side of the tank.

Was doing that alright, or should I take the gas tank off.

I followed the full instructions and had the tank off but basicaly it makes not a jot as long as it is cabled tied so it cant kink or rub

Agreed, as long as the cable won't rub on anything that would damage the insulation, no problem.

If you need to remove the cable, having it on the side is much easier. There's lots of things to tie wrap it to to stop it being damaged, just don't tie it to the throttle balance cable!
