Don't thank me mate, I didn't post it or make the pdf someone else deserves the credit for that. I suspect this may be privileged information that dealers don't like us having access to. I just stumbled across it and though about putting a link here.
For the non-pc savvy, right click on the link and select 'save target as' to save it to your hard disk.
Hopefully one day, somebody will 'reverse-engineer' the CANBUS protocols used my BWM and invent a DIY diagnostic software solution for the home user rather like VAG-COM has done for VW/AUDI cars. Then we will be able to fix things ourselves.
