Just wait until the final drive goes, then the EWS and finally the right hand valve lets go and detonates the engine.................not to mention a leaky crank seal, which destroys the clutch:augie

Then you'll be really pissed..........................and paint will be the least of your worries

Welcome to the wonderful world of BMW

Do'nt forget to let us know what happens at the dealers Ninja

On balance I have to agree with you :thumb

If I could afford to spend 15K on a new bike I would want it to hold up a bit better than some of the bikes on here do

I have bought an older one and banged the BM warranty on itI will ride it, wash it, have it serviced and .....

when it f,,,ks its self, its down to BM to fix it

best of luck with the claim :thumb

No doubt I will now get a bollocking for being off topic or sumat :augie

funnilly enough they got back to me this tuesday , bmw are rejecting the claim as normal wear and tear, that's there opinion anyway and not mine but you know that anyway.

benham's were ok about it and kept me informed, even offered to sell me a pair of their scaffold inspired heel guards at cost price £96.00 , i declined as they are pig ugly.

so i'll just repaint it myself , not a problem so there you have it

Hi ninja

Been following this thread to see what happend. sorry but the outcome was what I was expecting, anyhow here is a link to a guy that sells paint, I bought some for my gixxer thou frame after along trip on a trailer, the tie down straps rubbed that paint off the frame.
It matched perfectly. Might be worth a look.
