worn paint

i think who ever used the name tossers as a collective was being polite, i think i'd use the more common name as wankers , thanks for the replies

Shut the door on the way out, Rasher.

Ninjabika? Gingerrbicky, more like.

Less paint = lighter bike :thumb

Plus think of all the extra street cred riding around on a roughty looking bike. Money can't buy that.......

Boot Patch Badge of Honour!

Took delivery my GSA30 in september and i've only done about 1300 miles, 850 of those miles were on 'salty' Shetland in late october/early november. It was freezing cold and there was salt on the roads and lots of loose gravel....!

I've not used any ACF50 just GT85 and Scotoil 365 and I was looking forward to having a shiny 'boot patch badge of honour' on my frame to get rid of the newness but it's just not happened yet!

I'm also wearing HG Rallye boots and BMW Santiago trousers with HG waterproofs so maybe my 'abrasion score' is low. The rest of the paint on my bike is fine except on the mainstand crossbrace where the paint has abraded and its starting to rust even with the GSA30s huge sumpguard keeping most of the crap away.

seems that winjabiker did not get the replies that he thought he would eh,there seems to be a general opinion of just get on with it.:comfort

I think he must have gone.... and taken the pictures of his bike with him.

Maybe it didn't go well at the dealer's this morning?

aint gone nowhere, don't scare off that easy, can do without having my name plastered everywhere

Ive been reading this thread with great interest and a little anxiety.

My 30,000 mile 2005 GS, owned from new has no worn frame paint but I'm worried now as I've just bought a pair of Altberg Hoggs. Should I change them for something else before it's too late? :nenau DM's perhaps? What do you recommend that's got nice soft non abrasive leather?

Humbug (it's got to be cheap)!

somebody will be along with an opinion shortly, you know what they say opinions are like arse holes , every ones got one, and there seems to be quite a few on here

Anyway, now you have got that off your chest, keep us all posted.

Saw it, it having appeared whilst I was making a nice cup of tea, the screen not refreshing. My question and Toad's has been answered.

Do you have an opinion on how it will go at the dealer's? What do you expect them to offer by way of rectification? One bod got a new frame, so maybe that is something to set your sights on?

can't see a new frame being on the cards, i just want it putting back to as standard with no joins, then i will guard it now i know it rubs off
