Wot a pile of detritus.

Please do a comprehensive if slightly rambling entry in Product Review; it seems to be the current fashion, according to Wildflower :nenau

The pressure in my front tyre was 2 PSI down so how do you think I feel?!?!?!?! What a pile of shit this bike is and BMW should be a ashamed of themselves!!!!

My brand new GSA triple black keeps burning fuel every time I ride it. Its got the new eco riding mode I'm absolutely furious.......

Depends on the type of failure ?

Holed casing, piston or rod going east or west explosivly, might merit a raised eyebrow

however sounding like a bag of spanners, failing to proceed etc. natch, there are enough specialists on here ;)

Proper catastrophic failure, Bits shattered all over the Tescos isle, some parts had even flown off and damaged the Blancmange and Creamed rice puddings.

Technically thats only a clean up in Aisle 9, not quite, catastophique ;)

In all seriousness, I'm pretty pissed off with my new R1250 GS TE. I've only had it two months and it's already had to go back to the dealer once (for 600-mile service) and I noticed after a ride on Tuesday in the unseasonably warm weather that it had quite a few insect marks all over it.

I didn't pay the thick end of 20 grand to have a bike that needs to go to the garage to be serviced and gets dirt all over it.

I'm done with GSes. I'm going to buy a bike I really don't like next - then it can stay in the garage, under a cover, with delivery mileage only, and won't need any money spending on it at all to keep it in perfect condition. Can anyone give me the number of a local Aprilia dealer please?

My bike, which i absolutely love is three years old now. Went in for its 24k service and was told it needed all new cams, followers etc, BMW replaced it all as a good will gesture. Apparently a batch failed the hardening process.

Quinten you should go one better and don't buy it at all. Get the bike you don't like on PCP.....

Now THAT is genius! All the financial humbling of having a bike, with none of the asset-devaluing worries of being the owner.

I wonder if BMW will take it a step further - offer a scheme whereby you can enter into a PCP deal but never actually take delivery of the bike, so you won't even need to worry about keeping it clean and dry? Why pay £3 a month to adopt a snow leopard when you can spend £199 a month to adopt a permanently flawless BMW motorbike, guaranteed not to go wrong?

Lovin your thinking. We could get monthly newsletters detailing the recalls issued and the fact that the TFT does not have the latest updates. Maybe a webcam pointing at a voltmeter so we can watch the life gently ebb from the battery to the gentle sound of whale music.

Im off to Dragons den....

Oy! It was my idea!!! You can do the CI equivalent of Dragons' Den, probably called Hens' Nest or something. I'm off to research getting a virtual nano-ceramic coating made with virtual snake oil, and find out if Hilltop will do me a virtual tune-up for £350. You know, like they would anyway, but this time without actually needing the bike.

Damn. I just threw a double six. 'Your final drive has seized', go back 5 places and wait six weeks for the dealer to tell you they have never heard of this happening - ever on a BMW motorcycle (Q melancholy whale music again).

Its called BMW/PCP monopoly. And yes the Dragons bought it as it was a no brainer (actually called newt's wendyhouse in Jersey).

Do we have to take pcp or are other finance options available? Can we put a service pack on there too. And do we get free breakdown cover and the opportunity to extend the warranty? Or could we just cut out all the faff and send our money direct to the quandt family?
