Wot no £ sign

A customer has just appeared witha new laptop bought in the USA

Set up default local etc but no £ sign

or control panel regional and language options and change it there

Cheers Tuned in but as per post

Been there done that still no £ sign

Shift 3 does nowt!

But In excel etc currency is £'s you just can't type £ sign in an email or word etc.

Its something to do with askey set or something????

So It's a little more complected than that .....

Press Num Lock to lock number keypad

Press & hold Alt key then type 0163 in order. When you release the Alt key a £ sign will appear.

In Regional Settings there are also Input Locales - to tell it what keyboard to use if English (United Kingdom) is not listed (and current) then add it, and make it the default.
