What for...
I'm amazed by how much people on the list rave about different suspension when the standard set up is just fine, even the bike mags say it handles welll.
Go to the pub a spend your money on something more satisfying.

I agree, it does handle well. Unfortunately, it only does it for about 30 minutes when "getting it on" round the twisties.
I've got Ohlins front and rear, and the difference is startling.

Well there we go. Thats all we have up here in Scotland, "twisties" from the East coast to the West coast. Now if only we had the weather...........

I can only comment on Ohlins which have the ability to be dismantled and as you know OEM's can't, there are 3 spring options
soft/medium/hard i have medium which i am told is for a 150 to 200lb rider if you order a set this is what you will get if you don't specify a preferance.
The only problem i have is they've added about an inch to the
ride height as there is little sag + obviously making the bike lean over more on the side stand.
I brought mine 2nd hand from another member who had another pair of ohlins re worked to make them shorter,
trouble with that was he had to make the centre stand and side
stand shorter as well.

I fitted mine thursday night you don't realise how cheap and nasty the OE shocks are until you lay them side by side on the bench especially the rear thats a work of art I must of held it in my hands for half an hour just looking at it like a little kid at xmas with his best present,as soon as they were fitted I rolled it off the stand and it just glided to floor, they really are a top bit of kit.Andy

Yes Andy,OE shocks look like they are off my brother's CG125 (except they are too big of course)!
The only thing I dont like about the ohlin's is the cheap/nasty bracket that holds the adjuster for the rear shock onto the frame.
Seen anything better?

why not make one that looks good out of s/steel then polish it and perhaps drill some small holes with the letters GS on it, just an idea!!. Andy

no I have not made any yet but i'm am going to just gotta find some water proof yellow material then I think I will stensil OHLINS down the sides with a permanent marker or like wise.Andy
