Changed my fluid in the clutch a few months ago , used brake, fluid bmw dot 4, anyway , made a arse of it, went to use the bike today and you guessed it ,fuck all lever pressure, looked at the manual and it uses mineral oil, hyspin, fukin gerries, any remedies , ie seal kits from magura, or do I have to bite the bullet and by complete master and slave cylinders, pissed off with myself.

Has the level gone down? If not I'd be inclined to get the brake fluid out & refill with the correct oil, as a first move.
The 1150 uses brake fluid in the clutch so not sure whether the seals in the 1200 are made of different material, I doubt it.

looking at the 1100 and 1150, they use dot 4, but the 1200 uses mineral oil type fluid, think I've gubbed the seals .

If the slave or master are leaking, I'd agree, hence question whether the level has dropped.

Sorry but seals will be contaminated (and to be honest its likely that they are bolloxed now)

Methinks that you Need a pair of good used parts from the likes of Motorworks Sherlocks Motobins or even dread to think E bay

The lithuanian gangsters are onto the LC models now so they might even be having a sale on hexhead parts

It'd be interesting to understand BMWs rationale for using mineral oil instead of brake fluid for the clutch ?

Mineral oil is not hydroscopic.
Some Jap bikes using brake fluid with the slave cylinder mounted on the hot engine / gearbox used to get vapor locks hence no clutch operation when hot.

Cheers for all your help boys, ordered from sherlocks, kicking my self, was bleeding all the brakes at the time and noticed the clutch was dark and dirty, so done that too, aaaaaaagh more cash , will chop up some innocent bystanders and feel better.

Mineral oil is easier to store, handle, etc than brake fluid.
Some bikes use mineral oil so that if the slave cylinder goes pop, it doesn't dump brake fluid into the engine/gearbox.

I know this is a silly question, but why the hell were you changing the clutch fluid anyway?
Were you just looking to do something that did not need doing?

I did mine because it was Black and not Green :)

It's now Green and clear :):)

Magura Royal Blood here; it's a lovely blue colour, and I swear it makes the clutch feel lighter 😊

The hydraulic oil can stay there for ever without causing problems though its worth bleeding some through to remove debris from the slave cylinder. The slave is also the clutch thrust bearing.

That could only be true if the slave cylinder was actually inside the engine or gearbox. They never are !
On the 1150 I dismantled a few years ago it was linked by a pushrod and a couple of seals.
Your post sounded good , but it's incorrect.
