I'll have a shop around after I try one for size. Said you were on my ignore list don't know how that happened. Fat fingers on a phone I guess. We are similar age and BeMoto Titanium are coming in at £220.58, fully comp including breakdown cover, here in Salop.
There are deals to be had out there, I paid £10700 OTR, inc 12 months road tax.£12,000 or so, is a lot cheaper than many motorcycles. But it’s not a cheap bargain, either. That said, it’s cheaper than a new T Max.

Get the rider pegs and the seating position won’t feel alien at allWent and tried one for size on a whim today, managed to get on and off through the tunnel if you know what I mean, 4times in a row, hamstring was a bit tightwould have been on the peg on the GSA .The seating position seemed alien, not uncomfortable just odd but I'm guessing that will be something you get used to. Its tall but not overly so, bit lower than the GS but wide at the seat.
Easy to push around didn't feel heavy at all.
Not sure if I need a test ride or just flat out go for it Probably a test ride unlike most bikes I've not bothered . Need to wait for the 20th June financially but then I reckon will get one.
Now to spec one up![]()

Which dealer did you go to for test ride, somewhere local ?Test rode one today.
Initially I thought the throttle response was a tad jerky which was probably down to my nervous attitude towards an auto box. Stayed in the normal mode but soon managed to get the hang of it.
Rider pegs are a must
Rather large deposit left, basically pay for the accessories up front.
Delivery mid July.basically this but with the smart top box added and a bit of a wiggle off the price. In mud grey - I know but I liked it

I realise this bit of this thread is a year old, but I’m at the same juncture right now, my socket had a plug already in it, which is useful, just got get the pins. Did it work out ok with your usb power point?First bits on order.
As I will definitely take the X-ADV away on a trip, I want a Peak Design mount for my phone to use for navigation.
Thought I’d go down the wireless charging route as not had one yet so found one on Amazon with VAT knocked off and free postage .

There’s a spare accessory port on the ADV designed to plug in to the Honda OE 12V socket .Its secured by a clip just under the TFT in a bracket.

As the Peak Design mount comes with a USB-C cable, can I simply cut it off and wire the cable into the spare accessory socket via a suitable connector ?

That’s brill, I’ll get some pins ordered now.Yes all good . Just stick some pins in the plug .
I used the pick up to power my USB point and ran my Aoocci off it with no issues on my recent trip
Hi ,,, can I ask ,, what do you mean by “ Pins “ - ?Yes all good . Just stick some pins in the plug .

@Arsey Are you noticing a lot of X-ADV on European roads whilst tootling?Just booked my XADV in for a service at a Honda dealer near Saint Brieuc in Brittany .
My local dealer charges £115 per hour and they’re shit as mainly a car dealer and only one slightly gash bike mechanic .
The labour rate here is €85 per hour, or about £72 !
