X-ADV took me by surprise

Amen to that

I love scoots. I love bikes.

They co exist in my garage.

One can’t replace the other.

Unless health / other reasons denote.

This is kinda where I sit with them 👍
I love my T Max, but not enough to have it as my only bike. Many are selling them as the Swiss Army knife of bikes and suspect some would be disappointed if they got rid of everything else to make space for one. 🤔
I almost bought an x adv, but found the Max a little roomier and to be frank…………it’s more of zingy cvt scooter!! lol

Think it depends on your situation. I sold a 1250RT and replaced it with my TMax. I have ridden it about 3k in a year as I also have a R100 which I also use quite a lot.

The thing is, I have come to realise, if I could only have one bike/scooter, the TMax would do the job very well. Not planning on selling the R100 for a few more years, but time is marching on, 69 this year :)

Yeah, I get the whole age/ fitness argument. It’ll definitely be my retirement bike too. 👍

It's nothing to do with age or fitness. It is about realising that a scoot is a great all rounder and as long as you can get over the perception that others have, you will be enlightened. As they say, those that know know :)

Exactly . So many idiots stating how they’re not old enough for a TMax/Xadv etc . Complete bollox . It’s quite funny . Not one nod/wave riding to Plymouth yet every biker in Spain and France waves. Just a different outlook over here as they don’t have to pigeon hole everything due to some weird insecurities.
Seen loads of Chinese bikes too such as Voge/Kove/CFMoto/Zontes.
So refreshing to have eyes open

Must have been hot pushing all that Chinese shite along to the nearest workshop…… :ROFLMAO: Read it here…..

Nah. They’d all be sat at their computers spouting shite

I succumbed to temptation and took out a X ADV on demo on Saturday, very impressive, from the reports I've read on here I expected it to be good but it was better than good, I thought it would make a great all rounder/do almost anything ride with good and easily accessible performance and excellent handling and comfort/ergonomics, the bike I rode didn't have the optional rider footrests and I imagine I would spec these if I were to buy one, the question I wanted an answer to was would this make a good do everything "only bike in the garage", the answer was a resounding yes. On returning the bike to the dealership they asked for and recorded my thoughts and experience and that was it, no hard sell, no number crunching, just a thank you and goodbye you know where we are sort of parting, hmmmmm

Spot on mate, I had the same reaction from the sales people I met with, after giving him my thoughts he seemed quite shocked that I already had the spec sheet I wanted to order in my pocket and was ready to put a deposit down.
I think the UK bike community are missing a trick with this bike ( and yes I class it as a bike).
Anyway when I have mine your more than welcome to take it out with the rider pegs attached.
My only dilemma is to go AKRAPOVIČ Or SC project - modern day problems :D

Mine has SC Project. My recently departed mate then bought another with Akra. Both sound good but I think SC has the edge.Probably a bit cheaper too.

I could easily have it as only bike, proven to me by recent 2500 mile trip.
The British blinkered massive miss out on many bikes as they have to pigeon hole everything and are more concerned with fitting in to a perceived group than enjoying what they ride . No such insecure bollox on mainland Europe.
We need to organise an X-ADV trip next year .

It's been on my radar for some time as I have a Catalan friend who has one.

I agree with the above

amused by this, as you suggest forming a cliquey group!

I’d recommend rider footrests from eBay. Yes they are Chinese, and yes the quality is top drawer stuff.
Best of all they are close to £300 cheaper than genuine Honda ones.
Small flexibility in positioning too.
Mine were £59 posted, came in about 10 days, fitted in 20 mins, look great and work perfectly.
Lots of colour (anodised) combinations too, black/natural/grey.IMG_0909.jpegIMG_0908.jpeg
