Hi All,

Finally got round to change the spark plugs the other day, what a job, especally the engine breather pipe trying to get back on the airbox - had to get one of those bent long nose pliers and my coil puller didn't fit properly, anyway managed to wiggle them off gently after spraying silicone under the seals. Fitted some of those iridium type.

Just to mention, if your swapping out the plugs the new plugs need the screw end cap fitted, i didn't know and my old plugs had fixed/welded caps so had to go round all the shops (saturday morning) finding plugs just to get the caps for my iridium which were just threaded ends. fitted one of those KN filters at the same time whilst the box and plasics were off, see how that goes.

Next job swap out the coolant and oil next week.

Cheers

coolant, pls read up on the hose massaging procedure to get the trapped air out.
oil, put in less oil than anticipated, top up slowly, otherwise excess ends up in the airbox.
coils, jhave used cable ties to pull them off, pix about on the net. (just saying, double checked if the primary and secondary coil are correct?)
cheers

Yeah thanks drimcong, all good re plugs #1 & 2 arangment and thanks for the advice on the oil change. did a 60mile round trip from Bridlington to Malton after plugs and filter change, went like a dream.
