Xenon HID Headlight

Hi Folks,

Anyone familiar with an intermittent problem I am having with Xenon

headlamp ! just recently purchased an Autocom intercom and needed an

additional blue-tooth device to make and receive phone calls, when pressing

Zumo gps device for use, today it switches my xenon headlamp off very

strange !! pressing headlamp\flasher fails to turn headlamp back on, only way

to do it is to turn off engine and restart !! I recently installed a new battery

so thats fully charged.

Some times it will work fine and xenon light stays on but problem as I say

intermittent ?

This is likely to be a break through problem. are the devices close to one another? If so try and move them as far apart as possible.

It could be that your HID is on it's way out.

You could try disconnecting and then reconnecting all the connectors to both HID and Autocom incase you have a poor earth and something is acting like an aerial.

Failing this then try wrapping the HID ballast unit in tin foil. Not much more can be done really, distance and screening might cure problem.
