Looks like a ballast built into the back plate and using OEM wiring......nice development
I still think that in the long term, HID is a dead technology.......LEDs are where things are going to, for several reasons, but for those (like me) who still have Halogen technology in the car and on the bike, an integrated ballast/bulb holder solution like this is certainly a very attractive proposition, as long as it's plug and play.
Personally, I would wait a year though, 'cos this stuff is sliding downhill so fast that a 400 dollar kit will be 30 quid on ebay in that time
Coincidence but i've just fitted LED bulbs in my Matchless G15 (12 volt system) and been out and tested them tonight. The results are amazing current draw is down to 1 or 2 amps and the lights are so bright makes night riding much safer all round.
Fitted LED's to stop/tail, speedo and rev counter, side light and H4 head/dip all in 55 quid. No canbus worries just plug and play
