No, not at 13K they wont. Yamaha prices have gone through the roof in the last couple of years. Who would have thought that a FJR1300 would ever list at £15500

I always start by getting a cash price for the bike your buying agreed, say your are selling your private, then once you know the cost of the bike ask for a trade-in (in case you cannot sell) this way you get a genuine value of your bike to the dealer.
The dealer price is gonna be well under the odds probably a good 20% less than you see similar bikes going for private. I then put mine up for sale at a slightly under going rate price to get the phone calls coming and are prepared to haggle a little - with the bike underwritten by the dealer in case I can't sell in time (never happened)
I rode the GW demo bike and really liked it, certainly on my possibilities list, or I may even get one for a year while I wait for new Triumph and Honda's to firstly come out, and secondly start appearing secondhand at good money (assuming they turn out better than the Yam)
sounds good rasher! i think ill put it on flee bay but i will have the fd refurbed for the sake of 300 quid, could'nt bare for someone to ride away with his new pride and joy and the back wheel fall off! cant wait to ride a bike and not listen for thing to go wrong..but i do have a feeling i will return someday

Honestly after the 12Gs its like riding a 600 but the grunt of a 1600 due to the cross plane crank . It pulls yer arms off from 2000 to 5000 rpm.
Admittedly i have fitted a system and a PCv which does make quite a differrence.
The handling is superb and very responsive. Especially off road .
Bad points. It does dive a bit under braking but that could be me getting used to it.
Other points to someone coming off a twelve is there is no gear indicator (big deal) and it doesnt have the road presence of the 12 (doesnt bother me )
Most people think its the Xt660 (i got a black one so might be something to do with it) and a lot of bikers will ride along side me trying to work out why this 600 goes so well.
Considering i didnt like the bike on my test ride , i love this and i have the piece of mind of Yamaha reliability

I think you're right... bargaining power to get the price down and make do with the kit you have already

Did you get a ride on it? I hadn't paid it much attention til I took it for a spin
Its a good looking bit of kit.... and a different slant on an Adv bike
