Just treated myself Pack of Soda's,

Sliced one and slipped it under the Grill (on a diet ya know!)

Outside first, then the inside, until it's Just a dark shade of antique pine.

Then a slather of Dromona's finest butter

Big Mug of tea

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, Heaven !

Sorry for disturbin yous You can can all get back to whatever you were doing now :aidan :aidan :aidan

Cruel. But you may need to explain to some what sort of soda goes on a grill.

Please, no pictures, I'm trying to stick to my diet.

That's them under the eggs!

and this is the reason why they pioneered the cardic ambulance in the North of Ireland - the Ulster Fry otherwise known as the " heart attack on a plate"

By the way, grilled soda needs plenty of butter' and a thick slide of mature Cheddar cheese - a crispy streaky rasher is optional.

I should have know better and resisted looking at the thread again.

Well I'm off to the gym to create some space for a fry...

The Frying pan was responsible for more deaths than the troubles in Norn Iron........ "Flatliner Fry" :thumb

Nicest way to have a soda is to put lashings of butter on it before you grill it, that way all the butter melts through it and stops the soda getting a hard cripsy toasting then topped with a running fried egg :drool

its about a third the size it needs to be before heart attack on a plate status :D

When I lived in Dublin years ago my Girlfriends mother would always send me home with soda bread, brings back fond memories whenever I have it.

Irish mums are great I'm sure they could whip something to feed an army with what they have in the cupboards and they never take no for an answer. Ah go on you know you do :D
