I'm really getting into this xt, sourcing parts is easy from over the pond, it's a little harder finding parts here, especially original ones,

I'm going to paint the engine, Iv did two small parts one in mat one in gloss black, I'll decide when I get more forward with the build, the wheels came already built up, they have been done very well powder coated hubs heavy duty spokes anodised rims

A lot of parts that I ordered two weeks ago turn up this week, I've bought the xt into the house,

Few more photos, that's about where I'm at with the bike at the moment, time is getting difficult as I'm really biz with work,
All joints and bolts are getting sprayed before it goes together,

Engine in started the bike for the first time,,,,sweet,,,,,

After a few problem with the oil not moving round the engine took the clutch side cover off to find the oil none return bearing seal was stopping the bearing opening and closing, replaced the seal all back together oil moving as it should, oil leak seal replaced, just waiting on master cyclinder repair kit for front brake all done.
Had it out for a small run about 4 miles runs fantastic,

Just stripped the xt600 55w/34L ready to be powder coated
