Have you taken the time to watch the feckin video ?

A few years ago the Euro was doing ok. Now it aint and it would be a stupid currency to adopt, wouldn't it?
Why shouldn't we keep on using what we use now. Its not exclusively yours.

And, as for the 'blame England if the economy doesn't work out'. Yes. Maybe we will .... because in all probability it will be your fault.

Why do you think we are doing this ? Is it because the country is so 'fair, Just, and well managed' ? You would say to someone who was not happy with their job, "leave, try something else". Well, rightly or wrongly, we are not happy with the present situation on many levels. Its not a new thing. We tried in the seventies, failed because of the ridiculous vote requirements, and are trying again.
Stop being so negative. You will like us even less if we fail. It will be a different ball game then. If you think we are 'troublesome' now, I genuinely have concerns for the future in the event of a NO vote.

Your concerns are totally justified. You've created a monster and it isn't the Loch Ness monster either , this ones real.

The usual Anglocentric bollocks. Sterling is a joint currency, it's not just England's.

It's a joint currency within the UK , your leaving the house remember ? You can't take the fireplace and floorboards and window farms with you.

Close the door on your way out.

I think you'll find that if there's a vote in favour of Independence, we'll be taking our share of the spoils with us.

More Anglocentric bollocks and irony thrown in for good measure.....

So do you think England and the rest of the UK should underwrite what will be a foreign country ? Yes foreign and independant ??
Perhaps we should invite a few more independent countries to share the pound sterling as well.

You can't have your cake and eat it !!

Embarrassing that Scotand is even suggesting they share the Bank of England. Some fecking independent Scotland that is.

No chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shouldn't you just bugger off, in the nicest possible way of course and mind your own business.... ? :thumb

It is our business with Salmonds game plan where English tax payers cover Scotland's arses through the pound sterling when they become independent.

Laughing stock for even thinking it.

None of this is any of your business, either. You may not like it but that's the way it is.

Listen chump when your independent if you think Salmond and his brave hearts will dictate to London and the Bank of England your clearly pissed.

And it's your Anglocentric arrogance that makes you think that's what you would be doing. Should I point out to you that for the last 13 years Scotland has made a greater per capita contribution to the Exchequer than England has? The overall issue is not so simple as your Little Englander view of the world would suggest and thankfully your opinions will have no bearing whatsoever on the final outcome either way.

You hope they won't.

Thus far Scotland has been blowing its trumpet about independence and what they are taking or having and what they're not.
Do you think your going to dictate terms of your departure from the UK ? Clearly you do.
Do you think you'll still be entitled to the benefits that suit you as currently being part of the UK ? Do you think you should maybe have a few war ships handed over, maybe a few squadrons of front line fighters ? Do you think your trains should be allowed to trundle south on UK railway systems ? Do you think as a foreign national you should be allowed free healthcare within the UK ?
Do you think your entitled to work in England without a work permit ? As you won't be in the European Union you won't be in free circulation, you may as well be from china or Africa.
Honestly this shit really pisses me off , you want your exclusive meal but you don't want to pay for it.

Why should UK nationals through the banking system support a foreign country ? Because that's what you'll be. Or do you think you should have special dispensation and be independent but still have your arses covered ??

Who cares what the contribution per head was ?? It's irrelevant your leaving.
Do you still want free NSH prescriptions as well ???? :blast get real, be real and be really independent !! Not half a job .

Do you think Scotland runs on your " per capita" contribution ?

You're,arguing that the Bank of England (an inaccurate title, it should really be the Bank of the United Kingdom) would NOT want to influence interest rates, inflation , money supply etc in an independent Scotland? You're arguing that RUK governments would want to impose additional costs on RUK based businesses when they trade with businesses in Scotland?

You are clearly living in a fantasyland ifmyoumthink so.

The matter of the currency, Plan B etc is simply an attempt on the part of the NO lobby to bully the voters into agreeing with them.

Blackie my dear fellow, you do know I'm really trying to do you a favour here, don't you....? You're wasting your time debating this on something as inconsequential as an Internet forum. Either way, your opinion won't make a blind bit of difference. Conserve your energy and devote it to something more important like campaigning for a Labour Government in the next election or World peace or collecting for Oxfam or anything but just wittering on about how unhappy you are....:comfort

In the interests of everyone being as fully informed as possible at this stage, anyone who hasn't done so, might wish to read the White Paper on Independence....

Well you've been debating it on here haven't you ?

Oh yeah sorry forgot its the " cake and eat it " rule your applying.

You daft twats created all this shit.

Fucking idiots if the truth be known. I hope you go down the independent route I really do. Scotland is more trouble than its fecking worth.

Grow some balls and be totally independent and don't expect to hang of the shirt tails of others , fiscally or otherwise.
I just hope when you are a lone star state , we as the rest of UK get to vote on any issues you've created by going down this stupidly thought out route.

There was a time that I really really hoped Scotland would remain, but frankly the whole argument and ensuing shit storm has left me wanting you to just fuck off and leave.

Sorry for the language but I think you'll find that UK PLC is sick to death of winging scots .

Labour government ? Feck that Scottish wanker brown did enough damage to last ten generations. No thanks you have him as your new governor .

Wrong title ? Oh ok sorry the bank of the United Kingdom ? We will change it to that when you've left.

Plenty of Scottish ( and English) companies will leave Scotland , banking, insurance, others. You may be shocked to hear this but your independent Scottish population doesn't justify them bing there. 95% of their business is south of the border.

You really need to have a word with yourself about your disrespectful attitude. It's embedded in an Anglocentric arrogance and lack of consideration for your neighbours North of Border which has long been one of the major issues in the relationship between the two countries. In the process, you might want to reflect on why you appear to be so angry and upset over the whole affair. Asserting oneself in the world, as Scotland is now doing, is far from being the "winging" [sic] of which you'd accuse us in your disrespectful fashion. No doubt you'll calm down eventually and perhaps then you'll be able to take a more rational and dispassionate view of the matter.

You'll find there are over 400,000 Englanders (me included) living in Scotland.

You've used Anglocentric in every flakey reply you've made.

You've banged the Scottish drum I'm banging the English drum now.

Disrespectful ? You want English tax payers through the Bank of England to prop you up in the event of epic failure ?

That's disrespectful and pretty irritating to say the least.......

Why do you think we move to Scotland ?

Well I for one married an Inverness lassie, and moved up here from the North. I'm a Lancashire lad and always will be but after living up here for 10+ years I feel I now belong here and there are very few places that I would rather live, England being not even way down the list.

I think your attitude stinks, and your rhetoric bordering on facist.

I have family in England, Wales and Southern Ireland, and get to see them all every year. if we have to have another passport then so be it, but I'll be keeping my GB or Uk (or whatever they deem to call it) passport thank you.
