Soooo....taking advantage of the decent spell of weather...
Got home from Ullers on Sunday pm, Got going early Mon am, left here about 7 ish, up to Braemar, over to Donside, over the Lecht, Tomintoul, to Grantown...all in the early morning sun (although it dropped to 7 degs between the Dee and the Don)
Breakfast in Macleans....sadly minus the saucy wee blonde that I'd seen there on Sat.....juicy little thing with a firm young body, but not too young....I digress...and met up with chums.
On to Cawdor then Culloden, juice in the Longman and on to Chanonry Point, where (yet again) the dolphins failed to put in an appearance and on to Cromarty. Thence to Nigg via the wee(very) ferry and on to Tain for a bowl of soup in the very excellent Gows.
From there a tour to Bonar Bridge, a hurl up Strath Oykel to Ledmore and a gallivant along to Lochinver to view ....(but not buy) the most expensive pies in the western world.
After tea and a bun, back the way and along the finest strip of tarmac in Europe through Kylesku, Scourie etc etc up to the lazy Crofter hostel at Durness, to meet up with Jim Wright and a fellow wicker. A celebratory dram or two and along to Sango Sands for fish chips, crofters grills and such and back to the hostel to finish the bottle.
A leisurely start this am, reinforced with Irvines sausages, down to Laxford Bridge and then through the magnificent Reay Forest, past stalking parties complete with ponies going to the hill, to Lairg and the Pier Cafe to expectations of being served by the lovely young thing that was there the last day. Sadly she must have been at school...there was only a couple of blokes...probably poofters...but a decent cup of coffee before we set off to Bonar Bridge, over the Struy road and eventually down the A9 and thus to Pitlochry, home by 3 to do some work.
Yet another fine couple of days doing what the bike does best. A topper.
