Yikes! Missing bolt!

could you not -
drill a whole in the broken stud tap new new thread in it and wind a new smaller bolt in it.
thus fixing it to the frame again.

re easy outs-- all depends which type you are using...

if its like these

i would avoid them as they snap quite easily, then you are fecked.....

however if its like this

go for it, they are great and no one at work has ever had 1 snap during use.

So would these do the trick?

Horrible things, never seen the snap on (or off) before are these any better?

I've got a set of left-hand thread cobalt bits - that's what I'll be starting with in the hope they unscrew the bolt as they cut in.

I'll need the extractor bits in case they don't

The hole is 35mm deep on my R1100, you dont want a bolt the same as the depth, its all back together now so I cant give an exact measurement of the bolt, But 30mm should be fine, (M8), take the one out the other side and measure it.
