YTZ14S or YTX14-BS

my 2010 battery needs replacing, it is from new a YTZ14S and sits on a removable filler approx 30-35 mm high

looks the right size to fit a YTX14BS, did bmw upgrade the battery, was the YTX14BS previously used

any opinions which is the better battery re CCA and battery life, I do a lot of stop start town riding , the larger one is cheaper, presume it weighs more

The YTZ range has supposedly higher CCA combined with smaller size and lighter weight. Both are 14 Ah capacity.

Town riding is still sufficient to keep the battery full unless you only ever do short trips.
