trying hard to avoid Autocom prices for setting this lot up (includes Motorola Razr 3 mobile).

I'm told that an HF820 dongle works well with the Zumo but I can't get them to pair. Any advice here. The HF arrived without instructions 9econonmy pack!) and i may be missing a trick here.

Also having tried to convert MP4 iTunes to MP3 so the Zumo can read them I stil can't get this done. I'm copying them to a SD card but can't get the buggars to change format do i need to format the SD card to FAT 32 (whatever that is - no idea how to do this!!!)

I realy need to hear the phone and this is the priority for me. Hearing Zumo instructions and music from either the Zumo or an Ipod would be useful.

Autocom will do the set up for £150! No comment!

To pair the dongle;

First switch it on, a single, quick push of the volume switch. The blue light will come on for about 2 seconds then start to flash once every 3 or 4 seconds.

Now push the volume switch in again (just a quick push), you'll hear two chimes and the blue light will come on constantly, you are now in pairing mode.

From the Zumo do a search for headset devices as per the instructions, if it asks to enter a passkey enter 0000.

If pairing is successful the blue light will flash more rapidly than before (it sort of flashes on then fades out in stages).

To switch of press and hold in the volume button until you here a musical chime and the light goes out.

Here is a user guide for the HF820

£150 using what parts???

The most to spend is £103 using our BT dongles (Part 1273's/1276's) and Part 1314 for the GPS and music.

£103 much less painful than £150 (incl. labour) which is what I certainly thought the quote was - I may be wrong here and if I am I apologies but either way if I can avoid spending over £100 to get it set up that seems sensible....????? Having it installed professionally as opposed to my hacking at it would also be sensible ...mmmmmmmm......decisions decisions.....:nenau:nenau:nenau:nenau

So was the £150 the fitted price? If so that is not too bad as the Part 1314 is around an hours work all depending on the bike involved. If on a 1150GS or 1200GS tho around 15 mins for the cable routing

This is on a 1200 GS. So I have to decide if I can sort out the connections or go with the very nice folk at Autocom and shell out £100+

As I have now paired the HF 820 with the Zumo (thanks to the help from this thred) but next big question is how to wire up the Razr, HF 820 and Zumo. I have the Ipod too which I would hope to involve in the set up....any ideas???:nenau
