I`m about to return my Zumo to garmin as the terminals have all corroded after the rubber cover broke off.
Terrified of losing all my favourites! If i remove the SD card are they all stored on this or are they in the unit itself?
And if so how do I save them before I send it off?

Just transfer them to MapSource using the 'retrieve data' function. You can then save it as a mapsource file on your PC and send them back to the new unit when it arrives

are you just sending the mount back to garmin, no need to send zumo as well

The favorites and routes are in the Zumo memory not on the SD card.Save all your routes & favorites to a MapSource file as a backup you can then re-load all if anything is lost.

Connect your Zumo to your PC wait & let it save to backup file first on the Zumo and when it has finished click "Receive From Device" Click on boxes what you want to backup. When transferred save the MapSource file as "Backup Zumo"

Had the same problem with the rubber weather cap as well, seems Garmin are aware of this problem. My dealer supplied me with three spare weathercap covers and even threw in a complete motorcycle mount with them> Good service or what ! Tip: Rub some silicone onto the rubber cover to stop it perishing and breaking off for the future.
Hope this is of help to you. Cheers :thumb2
