Longer suspension travel

I am thinking of trading up my 650 to an 1150 later this year, I'll probably go for a second hand bike but will want to increase the suspension travel, to about the same as an adventure (190mm front, 200mm rear). Does anyone know the best way of doing this? other than buying an adventure.
