As I wandered in to work today I had the Quest with me although I know the way as I wanted to set waypoints for a couple of places a mate wants to go to... a pie and mash shop and a rather unspectacular indian lunch place.

As I was on the M20 at an indicated 75mph that showed to be 70mph on the Quest the calculation to the next point seemed a little out?

At 70mph you are travelling a more than a mile a minute, so how can it calculate that it will take 7.35 minutes to fo 6.1 miles?

Seems about right to me. I presume your destination wasn't on the motorway so the unit is taking into account slower average speeds on the minor roads to your destination as well as the higher speeds on the section of motorway you were using. :)

The unit remembers what speeds you've previously done on all the classes of roads and uses these to work out your ETA :thumb
