And, is a GS1200 a Suzuki? The name is easily confussed with the R1200GS, which is a BMW.....:augie

To think some bloke put effort into making that only for someone to rip its guts out :(

and those rare earth metals in the cat are fookin expensive... shame :(

I think you can actually trade them in somewhere... theres a company that recyles the platinum etc in cats.

Do your bit for t'invironment!!!!

Why?

What is the gain with this Bluebird? What about the emissions test at the MOT?

Have you considered a career in veterinary medicine?

Nice job there BB, much neater than cutting out a lump from underneath then welding that up. Did you weld it up yourself? from the prep before the weld it looks like you knew what you were doing!
but the big question is have you noticed any difference?

sorry that the pics were not in the right order it was my first time of posting pics,

yes you can get about £60 for a cat from a car, they like them in 1 piece though,I should get £10 for what i pulled out of the pipes.

Some say my career path is well sorted what with me being a part time gynacolagest:augie

I do have experience working with metal but i didnt weld it myself.

There's no difference in noise or any noticable performance gain,
but then I took the internals out of the standard silencer and it definately spins up a lot quicker and sounds really nice.

According to a few of the sages around here, it's like fitting a set of Remus headers, getting rid of the flat spot @ 5k rpm and the extra ummph in the mid-range, without going to the expense of fitting Remus headers.
