BMW Airflow Helmet

A bit of long shot , I purchase a BMW Airflow helmet with genuine BMW Comms some time ago and every time I use it the helmet lining comes away on one side after a little investigation it seems the lining is unable to be attached the press stud as the microphone mount is to close to it my Motorrad dealer has had a look at it and confirms my findings and has had the the helmet stripped down but cannot secure the lining due to microphone mount and has now passed on to BMW UK for their thoughts as in reality it is not safe to use,has any other member had this issue,I realise the airflow is a rare helmet but thought it was worth a ask .
