My new GSA has arrived and I'm in two minds above the crash bars. Basically I don't like them. I'm only a road rider so don't need the off-road protection they may provide, - so I'm thinking of removing them. Any road riding problems with this? Will the bike be shredded should I drop it?
A standard GS doesn't have them, so are they just to give protection to the tank?
I realise I will need some alternative for the aux-lights, and I suppose it would be a good idea to advise my insurer, but are there any other issues I should consider?
Well, there you go guys. Just spent the thick end of £17k on a new-to-me bike, and I want to start taking it to bits. Let the piss-take begin!
