Had one on my 1200 hexhead, matched to Keihan decat headers, for nearly 10 years.
Still in great condition.

They are a decent product and sound great. I just did not like universal double exhaust clamps used to support it. If they redesigned a more bespoke version it would fly off the shelves

Agreed, and it’s not the first time I’ve heard similar issues about the clamp and the hanger. But it’s something I can overlook hahaha

More to the point what tyres are on your bike?

They look like Bridgestones, but which ones? are they any good??

Bridgestone Battlax sport touring T31 yeah they’re not too bad, just noticed it’s starting to square off a little which I’m not happy about as I think they’ve only done around 4000 miles.
But I commute on it so they see a lot of the A1!

I've had 3 of these over the years; on my 800GS, 1200 Hexhead and now the 1200 LC pictured here. Well built, good price, and sound great. Would highly recommend them.

how does it look with the OE guard fitted from the side? I assume you've kept that on?

Thanks.. yes, looks okay.. didn't realise you'd got the Tri-oval also..

does that sticker look like it will come off.. TBH I think they look a bit cheap, ... but rest looks great!!

Tri-Oval is the way to go. Suits the bike... The sticker will come off easily if you don't like it.

yes, does look good!

looking at the RT on their site, the units just held on with one strap, wonder why they went to 2 for the GS? or is that all part of the 'off road' look? You could easily adapt it to 1 if you didn't like that I would of thought?

Fuel do it better....

Ive got an akro now, often imitated but never equalled :green gri

I have had beowulf on a VFR and a hehhead and it was sublime. Come resale time almost had to give it away.

Purchased a 2nd hand AKRO the view that when time to sell will get 90% of price back hopefully

Ordered yesterday. arrived today and fitted just now. Took me about an hour - I am a disabled rider with only one arm so putting on the brackets was "challenging". The Beowulf sticker comes off easily. Looks awesome and only cost £209 delivered.

I feel for you pal, I’ve still got both my arms, been a mechanic for 24 years and I struggled to get the brackets on!!
