Love the beak and headlamp on these, looks great. I see the new Vstrom aka Dr big has got it back to, much favour those styles over the transformer looking shapes of new.I know this is an 1150 thread but just thought I'd jump in with my two pennyworth . Who needs these new fangled 1150's anyway . ? 23 years old, mileage embarrassingly low, only owned for a year and had plans to do many miles this year but events have rather scuppered that concept for now.....fingers crossed..
You can resist anything but temptation.I keep fighting the temptation to post a link to this thread in the toilet section
Steady... you don't actually think we ride these old tractors do you! Whatever next!
Telelever repaint?
There's one small paint chip, not bad for a bike that's been used daily and all year round.....
I even took it on gravel roads, in 2006 when it was newer
Is that the one that you did the Stella Alpina on?
My Multistrada looked a bit grim after that little escapade
Mines always immaculate

Many thanks for your comments Paul and JB, I think it’s a trick of the “light” . The blue looks slightly darker!! As for the plastics, I just use WD 40.The term 'better than new' is used a bit glibly, but this bike really does look better than new. It's as if the years of polish have built up to give it an even better finish. Those black plastics just look....rich. Very, very nice.
