Hi all, second time round owning a beamer. Currently have a xcountry. I hope the experience is better than my first ownership. I had a F800ST and really liked it until it suffered from piston scuff. I vowed never to own a bmw again after it instantly depreciated by £3K.
I have been drawn back in by the urge to start green laining and find a true dual sporter. I want to try a bit of road and mostly green lanes with one bike. I'll be riding to all the lanes so half decent on the road is a must.
Had the xcountry for just over a year. Really like it so far. Great on the road for what it is. quite good in the lanes. A bit heavy, I have picked it up loads but it is really standing up to the falls very impressively. I am the limiting factor at the minute. Ridden on tarmac for 20 years, first attempt at off road.
