Yeah - Flipfly would make a good choice:) not sure he's listening in on this one though. You'd have thought he'd treat his wife to a luxury weekend away wouldn't you:thumb

I can think of another good one - if he could keep up with GS's on his Orange bike that is:D

Then there's Spout - he's an off road dude or Jaber if they were interested?

Must be plenty of other riders able. I think it would be just a small group anyway.

I'm sure a couple of kind fellows will step in here.

You sure are:thumb

Will you be camping also?

I reckon so... it will give me chance to test my new Exped sleeping mat :augie
Has anybody got the address for the campsite, or what time are you leaving on the Friday?:D

I've booked Friday off so will head up from M6 J16 in the morning - have a little ride around and be at the campsite by early afternoon I think.

I'd love to help out with this one guys but don't know what the band is up to and cash is in short supply.

I will check the band diaries and let you all know.

As for leading the ride.............if I knew where we were going then I'd be up for it. Saw loads of "unsuitable for motors" signs whilst riding back from the wrynose(??) pass. I guess they would be legal....wouldn't they???

You lot are a bad influence :thumb

in regards OFF ROAD
we are very lucky in the Lakes to have all the legal stuff marked up plus you get great info from the council with grid ref etc on the legal stuff...
which keeps us with-in LAW:)

m6 upwards

seems like its all coming together, nice one.

I'm in Lancaster so if any one would like to meet up on the way north fri afternoon let me know.

put me down for a little off roading too -whats the worse that can happen!?!?

i'd be happy to meet up with you, what time you leaving ?:)

I plan to north on Friday too, but I think my route takes me up the A1 and then across the A684 to Kendal.

Anyone else heading that way?

No offroading for me, I'm afraid. Smooth road tyres and complete lack of experience. Now if it were my mountainbike...

i will book a jet to drop bikes off at camp site then drive the 37 ft motorhome :oonyack dont worry doc it has 3 lcds and 6 dvd players

I'll be bring my drinking chair:D

this will sort the boys form the girls..:D:D
ie who's camping and who's staying in doors,

for example those camping will want to wash in the freezing stream just to prove how hard we are.. while the puffs staying under cover of a B&B will be fussy about what soap they will be using..:D:D:D

now if that does not light the fire :D:D???

Fixed it for you:thumb

ok :D:D:D cheers .. :D:D

I'm going to be watching you now;););):D:D

Squid
i'll draw up a few poissable routes for the lake trip and pass them over to you.
it's worth riding up the northen part of the lakes because it's nice looking down at the views you normaly never get to see . plus keeping away from the main stream roads:thumb

Is this the kind of thing your after.

A rough route from Langdale. 102miles
