Hi,

My bike has been having a problem (?) that I can't identify...

Since it's a ABS2 it has elecrical assisted braking...

The problem is that when I'm riding slowly I can hear the electrical sound of the ABS...but it's not braking only makles the sound!?!?

If I start the engine and pull the front brake lever it stays making the electrical sound for ever until I press it again or press the back brake lever...

Can any one give me a hint???

Thanks!

Regards,

Hi mate!
You have ABS/Servo assisted brakes. When you pull the brake levers, the ABS/Servo works and makes noises. Do not fuss, it is normal.
The noise when you ride slowly is probably working fuel pump. Some are noisier than others, but it can be a sign to change fuel filter or drain water from the tank.

With Regards,
Mateusz

Hi Mateusz,

The problem is that it makes the exact same noise as if I was breaking...

Without braking or the brake lever being pulled!

I've checked the micro switches of the front and rear brakes and both make the "click" the brake oil is OK...

Thank's for the hint!

When I had a bike with ABS/Servo brakes and pulled the lever not riding, the noise got stuck sometimes. Few further pulls fixed it.
Maybe it is Servo failure...
Please read some threads - I think your problem was mentioned before.
There are some things that could be done and could solve the problem. You can:
* clean ABS sensors;
* rinse brake system;
* check the battery.

happens mine sometimes. A tap the rear brake pedal and it goes away.

Hi,

Thank you all!

I asked for help to my BMW dealer...I wasn't going any where...

Thanks again!

Yes. The servo can be removed. Me and quite a few others on here have done it. There is a thread with pictures somewhere, its not hard. Effectivly you need:

- NON ABS micro switches front / rear
- NON ABS distribution piece + bleed nipple

Then just run the brake lines directly to the calipers.
