pixel sizes?

I'm trying to put a pic of my ugly mug on my profile (avatars is it?) but can't get the pixel size anywhere near down to 80 x 80.

I've set my camera on the crappest setting but when i resize to 80 x 80 i just get the very top left corner of the image.
