I don't mind a loud exhaust... hell I enjoy it :D
 
I've got a few videos up on youtube.com, there is one little homage to Adam&Lisa. I think i shouted at my cat Singe. Yes its the same exhaust that i've bought just waiting till mid sept till its imported over from some london-biker outlet. Only people i could find without buying it over ebay/italian shop.

Thought i'd hidden it well, there are some video's on my F800 regarding Bull-Dog bash. Got a few more but have got to edit asp (at some point).
 
Where wa sthat trip? Looks like Peru or Bolivia... How did you get your bikes there?
 
Hello GS-Biker, i' used a Sony handy DCR-SR55E cam for the 'blue looking F8GS peice to camera'.

The rest is a VIO Pov1.5 motokit from http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/home.php.

My kit cost over £650. Although i'm planning on changing to the ContourHD camera. The pov kit comes with a 110-degree camera len's which you can change to 80-degree lens which gives a better 4:3 view.

I'm after a 800-600+ pixel rugged camera or higher which is why i've decided to go with ContourHD which does 1200-700 @30fps basically & also 868x868 @ 60fps. Sound is upgradable on Pov kit where as contourhd is fixed.

This does indeed help, thanks for the info, i will be looking at the HD type in a little more detail. Have a trip planned in SA in Dec and would love to have a unit like this for the mentioned. Let me know when you get yours and you thought on it.

As for the exhaust, where did you order the LeoVince from and whats the Damage. Also looking to upgrade mine sometime soon?

After reading the whole thread I am not sure if you are still taking about the Twalcom or the LeoV??? BUT I still need the measurement to the outside of the Twalcom exhaust to the inside of the Metal Mule pannier racks (TO CLEAR IT UP. what is the measurement from the end of the exhaust bolt to the outside of the exhaust as per this thread. (square...see pic http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=199999 (((post #6)))).
 
Akrapovic replacement parts??

Hi guys - do any of you know where I can buy the silencer hanger for the Akro? I had an "off" :blast this weekend in a very deep rut - the bike went down pretty much on the silencer which snapped clean through the carbon fibre bracket.

All I can find on the web is places that sell the entire silencer.

I got it as dealer fit option - am I going to have to go back to dealer for the part?

Any advice appreciated.

I know it's not a lot of help, but I found a replacement for my hanger on Ebay ...

You could try Moorespeed Racing in Poole 01202 746141, when I dinged the Ti can on my TRX they said they could obtain a re-sleeve kit from Akra if required ... they prolly would be able to get a hanger as well... Speak to Colin - he's a really helpful bloke..

Cleaning the exhaust...?

After not cleaning the bike for 3 weeks - after since covering 3k miles around the Alps, i took pity and washed the F800 over the weekend.

Along the tyre side of the exhaust, there are lots of bit's of grit/sand/etc stuck to the exhaust. Is there a way to remove these without scratching the silencer?
 
Lazy way without lots of polishing take the can off and liberally apply wonder wheels aluminium cleaner that will bring it off
If you use wonder wheels with the can on the bike it is strong (acid or alkaline i cannot remember) and if splashed on the bike will attack cadmium plated nuts etc.
