First ever oil change...
Picked up the bike yesterday and thus far am very happy, might post some pics later.
Had a few "unexplained stalling issues" or USI's as I think I'll start calling them, thankfully none during any maneuvers/junctions so was able to recover gracefully.
Right, onto the title, I'd like to do an oil change, I've heard and read that a quick oil change during the first 50-100 miles is highly recommended. Don't really want to get into a big discussion about why, just know that I want to do it.
Most importantly I want to do it myself or with a little help.
Things I don't have:
• any experience of changing an oil filter
• any proper tools, inc. torque wrench - I have a shitty Argos box of bits nothing or any quality or likely correct size
• a replacement filter - maybe, see below
• the correct oil for this point in the engines life synthetic/semi/organic
• anything to catch the old oil in
• a center stand
Things I do have:
• A oil filter for an F650 Funduro - long shot that this might fit
• some common sense
• the bike
So, what exactly do I need? How exactly do I go about it?
I'm also open to offers of on-site help and in return will supply tea and money for petrol
All help gratefully received as always
