trouble is when you go to sell a bike with what I would call normal mileage you get bugger all for it.
Depends what you consider normal mleage. I personally don't consider the Glass' guide of an average of 3000 miles per year normal.
I eagerly listened to the speel by the salesman when I was buying my GS. Low depreciation, great residuals, hold their money, sought after model etc. But when it came to me enquiring about a trade-in after two years and 12,000 miles (for another BMW) it was a different story. All of a sudden there was twice the annual mileage, there wasn't the demand, oversupply and every other negative. The price offered was insulting and actually made me hold onto the GS for another two and a half years. I then sold it for almost what the dealer offered previously.
I honestly can't see me ever buying another new bike again and if this F800GS is genuine, it's be the type of machine I'd be happy to buy.
