I was offered £3000.00 trade in for my clean, low mileage 2008 F650 GS against another bike. The dealer told me this is the book price for this model. Was this a fair offer?
Depending on what spec is on it,ive seen low mileage 2008 models on sale, between £5000/6000,so sell it private, take a look at the used prices on bike trader,or mcn, websites, bmws hold there value, for some reason.

its always interesting the"BOOK" price not knowing the details if it was a F800GS what would that be worth baring in mind theres only a basic 1K difference and the F650GS holds its money more.
depends on the bike your trading against is it a good deal, is the price from the same "book"
some things are relative and a fair deal! then theres that ripped off feeling
IIRC, I was offered about the same amount for a F650GS twin with 20,000 miles on the clock in a pretty rough condition, so no, that isn't a particularly good price.
Our local dealer looked up my 58 plate and according to the 'book' i shoul;d have done 6k miles in TOTAL..... the expected mileage for the globe busting 1200 was not far off... i laughed.... the salesman didnt...
