Hi
Been reading all the old threads this morning and wondered if any one has had experiance of the 320mm moorespeed disc conversion?
Also looking to fit a caliper off a k1100 if I can find some one to mill it to size
Anyone know a shop that could do that for me in the south east?
Cheers

Most industrial parks will have someone who can mill the tabs for you... have a poke around one thats close to you!

I've got the K series caliper fitted to my PD and the breaking is fine.

The machining required to fit is minimal so you should be able to find a suitable m/c shop to do it.

I was told at purchase of my bike that the calipers were K75 but he wasn't 100% sure.

Hi when you get it sorted let me know which you went for as I would like to do mine. There is a GSPDon ebay at the moment with a 4 pot caliper on a standard disc.

So is that the best
Or should it be a 4 potter on a 320 disc

Or the standard caliper on a 320 disc

A lot of solutions but which gives the best solution for the least money.

Or do we just carry on with standard and apply the three rules of braking

1,Brake.

2 Brake,

3. For ****s Sake brake.

cheers Centurion

the 4 pot on a standard caliper does next to FA for braking power, though it does improve the feel a bit.

the standard 2 pot on the 320 disc is much more effective, but lacks a little feel perhaps. i've had the conversion on two airheads and the current one on my mono has a bit of squeal which is a bit annoying. only using organic pads seems to cure it, but they don't brake as hard as HH :blast

i have recently tried a harrisson 6 pot on the standard tiny mono G/S disc and was surprised to find it was about as effective as the 320 + twin pot.

ok let me now when you need a 4pot I have a aboute 5 in the garage all with good pads just need bolting on no uther work needed uther than to bleed your brackes of course :ronno

I sold the Motorworks supplied 4-pot caliper after my RTW trip and put the standard one back on with a cast-iron pfm disk. The 4-pot just ate pads and didn't seem to improved matters noticeably.

I went the pfm route after trying my mate's bike with standard caliper that stopped better than mine with the 4-pot.
