I'm about to change the fuel tank on my '94 1100 and while it's off, I intend to change the throttle cable (37,000 miles, original cable).
Mine is the old single 'daisy chain' cable and I've always had trouble setting good 'open throttle' TB balance with it - I've settled for a compromise in the end with good balance at cruising revs (3500 ish) but it has a bit of a buzz lower down.
I've heard that you can change the cable to the newer splitter box arrangement. Anyone done this? Is it worth while (and expensive)?. Do you need to change the twistgrip assembly too?
Any pointers gratefully received.
