Since the last time the throttles were adjusted on my 1100GS, it seems to have a very poor idle and regularly stalls, cold or warm. In fact, strangely it often seems to idle better when cold.
No amount of fiddling with the screws on the throttle bodies seem to be able to improve it, cleaned the brass screws too. I was hoping that it might be a spark plug related problem but I changed the spark plugs and still no joy
The bike runs normally when ridden it seems to only be the idle that is affected.
I am not aware of having knocked the TPS but I can't be absolutely sure. I am not sure if this behaviour is consistent with a TPS problem.
I am going to check the valve clearances today and check to see if I can find any evidence of air leaks after the throttle bodies but I am for some reason not very optimistic.
I'd be interested in hearing any ideas on what might be at the bottom of this issue.
Thanks
David
